Tinker Time with the Osmos coding
Coding has now been added to our apps. Lots of discussion and forward thinking is needed to solve these problems. Lateral thinking and perseverance are really important in Room 20!

Children were able to independently choose a picture which inspired them to write about any topic they chose.
Sometimes we have an Author's Block! This app enables us to use our imagination and the world around us to dream up a story - whether is fiction or non-fiction!

Water water everywhere...
Did you know that a person who studies water is called a Hydrologist!
Thank you Mrs Long for being our recorder today as we brainstormed our ideas about water!
The Water Molecule Cheer:
Give me an H!
Give me a 2!
Give me an O!
What does that spell?
H2O!
When atoms join together they form molecules. A water molecule is made up of 2 Hydrogen atoms and 1 Oxygen atom. Atoms are teeny tiny building blocks that you can't see. Water molecules lock into position when they freeze...brrr!

Our Outdoor Classroom
Research shows 20 minutes in nature a day is enough to boost our vitality and well being. Richard Ryan, professor of psychology, psychiatry, and education at the University of Rochester, in New York, said: "Nature is fuel for the soul". And children's learning and love for the environment can benefit too.
Today Room 20, Mrs Daniel and Mrs Medland, went exploring in our native bush walk, as part of of our Enviro Schools programme
. We wrote recounts about our outdoor adventure.
