A busy start to Term 4 in Room 20

Room 20 have had a busy first 2 weeks at school! Badminton Auckland sent Kevin to teach us the skills of this indoor sport. We really enjoyed learning this sport. 

Our recycled plastic bottles from Term 3 are turning out to be great strawberry plant holders. The rain is not making them too soggy as they are hanging up and not on the ground. 

Vera's Dad Tim works for Waste Management!

Tim trains drivers for these trucks. He talked to us about the trucks and their jobs. 

The children from R14 invited us to come and share in the talk and watch how the truck lifts the bin.

These trucks pick up 22 tonnes a day and there are 12 trucks plus all the other commercial bins. Some of the rubbish can be recycled like wood for playgrounds, compost for gardens. 

And away we go

Fashion parade last minute touches!

Hey there Room 20 looks like we might have a frog!

Thanks to Brodie and Carolyn at lunchtime on Friday for helping me find some rocks because look what has happened today at my house!

One of our froglets needs air to breath now as it's lungs have grown and the gills are no longer there to enable it to breath under water! 

Stones in the water mean the froglet can climb up out of the water.
