Matariki celebration in Room 20

During the week we have been making Manu Taratahi - triangular kites. Kites can be flown to predict the future at Matariki, if the kite flies well the future of our crops planted now will be bright!

Children cut and wove paper first similar to Harakeke (flax) and then glued feathers and paua paper shaped for eyes.
